Limerence

A still from my new experimental film about generational healing, love, and trauma.

The Limerence Collection

Limerence is a there part conceptual piece that melds together both real events into a fictional narrative. An afrosurrealist docu-drama following a protagonist’s search to rid themselves of their Limerence for a lover vanishes after a remarkably strange weekend.

“I don’t do cases, I do deals” - A conceptual one-person cinematic show, using found footage and clever camerawork, this film will never be released, but will serve as the base for the Full Cast Short Film. This is currently under production.

Limerence

Short Film version, featuring a full cast. This half-hour short film builds on the one-person show.

Go ahead, tell them what you did to me.

A powerful explosion of generational love, healing, and trauma, this feature film delves deeper into the protagonists’ emotional journey. They will unearth new levels of existence and find a peace that’s evaded both of the families for so long - but at what cost?

“His gentleness was uncompromising: because he would not compete for dominance, he was indomitable.” - The Dispossessed

Revolution brings the change we need. But Love: radical and unending love, is the foundation we will build upon, once the fires have smoldered.
— Paul, "limerence"

“I used to be ashamed of my softness, or how quick I was to smile, to forgive, to try to understand others. But, the older I got, the more I realized these attributes are what help build a loving community.

Now, much of the love I wish I received, I am able to give to others. Softness, gentleness, joy, patience, mercy, empathy, play, laughter and love. These are things that foster healing, growth, and fulfillment; not just in oneself, but - just as importantly - in others too.

Revolution brings the change we need. But Love: radical and unending love, is the foundation we will build upon once the fires have smoldered.”
